It's a new day for PEAK II
PAGD has heard through its member surveys and focus groups that taking an additional day out of the office prohibits many from attending its Mastertrack meetings. This is why the PEAK Track II Mastertrack group is moving from a three-and-a-half-day format to a two-and-a-half-day format with one additional meeting per year. The first meeting with this new format will take place at Normandy Farm in Blue Bell from Friday, March 7 to Sunday, March 9.

Strategies for Success in Extraction and Ridge Preservation with Dr. Leroy Horton
Replacement of lost teeth is one of the most common problems providers are tasked with solving. Implants have become the ideal method for doing so, however it is not as simple as every empty space can get one. One of the most predictable treatment modalities to help ensure that an implant will be possible is ridge preservation. Over the last four decades, tremendous gains in knowledge, materials, and technology have garnered endless scientific justification for what we do and how we do it. In this part of the course participants will learn the biologic rationales, the scientific research behind them, modern materials, and basic surgical technique. The content is packaged in such a way that providers of all levels will have an opportunity to learn and fine tune their current practice for the patients’ benefit as well that of the practice.
Learning Objectives:
- Discuss common systemic conditions and risk assessment
- Planning of extraction cases and strategies
- Basic ridge preservation techniques
- Case presentation of flap design, sectioning of multi-rooted teeth, membrane adaptation, platelet aggregates, and suturing
