Comprehensive Care with Dr. Laura Harkin
Day 1: Our ultimate goal in practice is to help our patients preserve their natural dentition for life, and our commitment to delivering high-quality, preventative and restorative dentistry supports that! Comprehensive care can only be rendered successfully with proper identification of disease processes, the use of protocols and tools to mitigate or slow deterioration, and patient ownership of their oral health. Learning to diagnose and manage risk factors is an important step in ensuring predictable dentistry for both you and your patient.

Day 2: We may recognize the signs, symptoms, and structural loss caused by occlusal disease in our patients, but how do we address it? When should we restore a case in centric relation (CR)? When should we equilibrate prior to restoration? Finally, what are the newest advancements in digital scanners and clear aligner therapy which serve as adjuncts to improve alignment/occlusion prior to restoration? We will specifically explore the iTero Lumina and Invisalign in this session.

Day 3: Follow Dr. Harkin through several of her own, case studies from initial examination to restorative plan development, presentation and case acceptance, execution, and, finally, maintenance. Learn how to manage large, multi-specialty cases in a busy practice with the support of a hard-working team. Discussion regarding tissue management, material selection, and clinical tips/tricks will weave throughout today’s presentation.
