Overview

PEAK is a continuing education track that is designed for you to earn a Fellowship or Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. PEAK meets two times per year in different locations in Pennsylvania. While they can vary based on the needs of the attendees, the schedule is usually the same:

  • Presentations: Peer-to-peer presentations, typically on Thursday, are a 10-minute case presentation on the topics that were covered at the previous meeting. If you demonstrate learning to the satisfaction of the track chairs and your colleagues, you can double your lecture credits from the previous meeting and transform them to participation credit. You do not have to present to attend this day.

  • Social Event: Social events vary depending on the locations. Pervious social included having dinner at a local dentist’s home to axe throwing to guitar making to team trivia! This evening time allows you to further conversation with colleagues and get to know some new friends.
  • Lecture: Lecture will cover one of the 18 areas of general dentistry. Lecturers come from around the country to right here in Pennsylvania, allowing attendees to see world renowned speakers without the typical costs of travel. Lectures are typically a full day on Friday and Saturday, and a half day on Sunday.
